Privacy at Virow

Privacy Policy

Effective date

Virow is a short-form content co-creation service operated by Kyle Wheeler. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Virow mobile app or visit virow.ai.

Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@virow.ai.

Information Virow collects or processes

The information involved depends on how you use Virow. It may be linked to your authenticated Virow account.

Account and profile information

This may include your email address, name or profile information, Virow and Supabase user identifiers, authentication-provider information, and profile or avatar details Apple or Google provides when available. Virow may also save creative preferences and defaults such as platform, tone, niche, and goal. Virow does not receive your Apple or Google password.

Creator content

Creator content may include ideas or topics; platform, tone, niche or custom niche, and goal selections; and the Hook, Opening, Script, Visuals, Caption, Suggested Hashtags, and Insight that make up a Content Pack. It can also include refinement instructions, existing Pack content submitted for refinement, saved Packs, and scheduling notes or data.

Creator content can be processed before you explicitly save a Pack, so unsaved work should not be assumed to remain only on your device.

Usage and operational information

Virow processes limited service records used to run and protect the product. These may include request identifiers, operation type, generation status, token and usage counts, retry or repair counts, estimated AI cost, error categories, entitlement or access information, and timestamps. This is operational telemetry, not behavioral advertising analytics.

Purchases and subscriptions

Virow may offer paid subscriptions or features. If and when you make a purchase, Apple App Store or Google Play and supporting subscription infrastructure may process product, entitlement, transaction, renewal, restoration, and subscription-status information. Virow does not receive raw payment-card details through the app.

Device and local information

Virow stores authenticated session information, recent or full Content Pack workspaces, and preferences such as onboarding and theme choices on your device. Virow reads device accessibility settings locally to adapt presentation. Clipboard access occurs when you explicitly choose to copy Pack content.

Local data may remain until it is cleared or replaced by the app, you clear the app's data, or you uninstall the app. Local storage protections also depend on your device and operating-system settings.

Information Virow does not currently collect

The current Virow app does not use the camera, microphone, precise or approximate location, contacts, photo library, or device calendar to collect content or information. It also does not currently use an advertising identifier or cross-app tracking. Future features may require this policy to be updated before those practices change.

How Virow uses information

Virow uses information to:

  • create and manage accounts and authentication;
  • generate, refine, save, and schedule Content Packs;
  • apply creative preferences and defaults;
  • manage access, entitlements, subscriptions, and usage limits;
  • maintain security, reliability, and service operations;
  • troubleshoot problems and respond to support requests; and
  • meet legal and compliance obligations.

Virow does not currently sell personal information or use creator content for behavioral advertising or cross-app tracking.

AI processing and OpenAI

Before Virow first sends creator content to OpenAI, the app presents an AI-processing disclosure and requires you to choose Continue. If you choose Not now, the requested AI processing does not proceed.

Virow uses OpenAI as a third-party AI provider to create and refine Content Packs. The relevant creator idea, instructions, and Pack content may be transmitted to OpenAI for that processing. The inspected generation request does not intentionally include your account email address or name.

Virow sends its OpenAI Responses API requests with store: false. That setting limits application-state storage for the response; it does not mean that OpenAI retains no data. Provider-side processing and any provider-controlled retention are governed by OpenAI's applicable terms, data controls, and legal obligations. Virow does not represent that its account-deletion flow removes every provider-controlled record.

How information is shared

Virow shares information only as reasonably needed to operate, protect, and support the service, including with:

  • Supabase for authentication, database services, Edge Functions, storage, and related backend infrastructure;
  • OpenAI for the AI processing described above;
  • Apple for Sign in with Apple and App Store services, and Google for Google Sign-In and, where applicable, Google Play services;
  • providers that support authentication-email delivery and website or email hosting; and
  • subscription infrastructure if and when paid subscriptions are active.

Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users or the service, investigate fraud or abuse, or address a security issue.

Retention

Account, profile, and creator content may remain while your account exists and as needed to provide the service. Explicitly saved Packs generally remain until you delete them or delete your account, subject to the limited exceptions below. Some generation, accounting, security, and operational records may exist even when a Pack was not explicitly saved.

Virow may retain limited records when reasonably needed for security, transactions, fraud prevention, legal compliance, disputes, and service operations. Backups and third-party providers may follow their own retention schedules and legal requirements. Deletion therefore may not remove every copy immediately.

Account and data deletion

Permanent account deletion is available inside Virow under Settings. When the flow completes, it permanently removes the Virow authentication account and the associated app content and data handled by that flow. Account deletion is not reversible.

For an account linked to Sign in with Apple, Virow requires a fresh Apple confirmation and revokes the linked Sign in with Apple authorization before Virow deletion proceeds. Limited records may remain for legitimate security, transaction, legal, dispute, or operational reasons, and provider-controlled records or backups remain subject to provider requirements.

Deleting your Virow account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel any active store subscription in the applicable store's subscription settings.

For privacy or account-deletion help, email support@virow.ai.

Security

Virow uses reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the service to help protect information. No system or method of transmission is completely secure, so Virow cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Virow is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly seek personal information from them. If the operator learns that information was collected from a child under 13 contrary to this policy, reasonable steps will be taken to delete it. Anyone under 18 should use Virow only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Your choices and privacy rights

You may update certain account information in the app and delete saved content or your account using the available controls. You may also contact Virow about access or updates to account information, privacy questions, account or data deletion, and privacy rights that apply under the law where you live. Available rights vary by jurisdiction, and Virow may need to verify a request before acting on it.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as Virow changes or as legal requirements evolve. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when an updated policy takes effect.
